Autoway is a privately owned company operating in Zakynthos island since 1997. It is fully bonded by EOT (Greek National Tourist Board) and offers car rental and bike rental services at amazingly low prices. Making a booking

1Why should I pre-book online and not locally?
Booking through our website will cost you 10% to 30% less than local rates, depending on the rental duration and the season of rental. You may book the vehicle you need without any deposit or credit card guarantee, you will pay at the delivery (after you get the vehicle you have booked).
2How do I book a vehicle?
You can book a vehicle on our website, using our easy online booking system. If you would like to book by phone, you can call Autoway at +30 6944612066 or +30 6980097510 (Whats App). You can also send us a message at info@autowayzante.com and we will be more than happy to assist you.
3What information do I need to provide to book online?

The first step is to provide the following information:

The dates and times of pick-up and return.
The locations for pick-up and return.

Our online booking system will then display our rates and availability for your desired period. After choosing your preferred vehicle, you will be asked to provide your personal details and confirm your booking. As soon as you complete the booking process, you will receive an automated email with the confirmation of your booking. Please print the confirmation and present it to our rep during the vehicle pick-up. When you collect the vehicle you will receive a Rental Agreement with your booking details.

If there is an availability problem for your selected vehicle, we will contact you as soon as possible by email to suggest amendments and alternative options. If you don’t hear from us, other than the automated confirmation, that means that your booking is accepted and valid as sent.

4What about payment, deposit, or hidden extra costs?
You may book your preferred vehicle without any deposit or credit card guarantee, you will pay upon delivery of the vehicle by cash or credit / debit card (we accept Visa and MasterCard). There are no hidden extra costs to surprise you. Our prices include the best insurance package and all extra costs are clear and fair declared.
5How do I collect my vehicle?

You can select the delivery location when booking online. An employee of our company will wait for you with your car or bike at the specified location.

The delivery and collection of your vehicle is free of charge at the Zakynthos airport, the port of Zakynthos and the bus station of Zakynthos (KTEL). We also offer free delivery and collection at almost all resorts in Zakynthos - we can deliver the vehicle at your hotel without any extra cost. If your hotel is located in a remote area of the island, an additional fee may apply due to distance (in this case the additional fee will be displayed prominently when you select the location). Please note that the delivery and collection is free during office hours (06:00 – 23:00). For out of office hours there is an additional fee of 15 euro.

6Can i collect my vehicle at the airport?

You can collect your vehicle as soon as you arrive, directly at Zakynthos Airport. At the moment you go out of the Arrivals Hall no B, you turn on the left, after 50 meters turn on the right and we are exactly opposite (It is just a 100 meters walk!)

For airport delivery, it is essential that Autoway receives the correct flight number and arrival time. If this information is not available at the time of your online booking, please ensure that you inform us at least 2 days prior to your arrival via email or by phone.

7What happens if my flight is delayed?
There are no additional charges in the occurrence of flight delays. All of our employees are fully informed with up-to-date information on arrival times or changes that may occur. They will wait for your arrival flight, to deliver your vehicle, even if there is a delay.
8What is the cancellation policy of Autoway?
We don't charge any fee for cancellation, but we will appreciate an early notification in case you need to cancel your booking.

Info about renting

1How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?

To rent a car from Autoway, you must hold a Driving License for at least one year. Driver must be at least 21 and maximum 70 years old, at the date of pick-up. Please check the age requirements for each vehicle on Our Cars page.

To rent a motorbike or scooter from Autoway you must hold a Driving License for at least one year. To rent a scooter, the minimum age is 18 years old. To rent a motorcycle XT660cc, the minimum age is 23 years old. Please check the age requirements for each vehicle on Our Bikes page.

2Which are the driver’s requirements to rent a vehicle?

For renting any car you need to have a valid Driver’s License for at least one year.

For renting a 50cc scooter, a valid Driver’s License type AM or higher is required.

For renting a 125cc scooter, a valid Driver’s License type A1 or higher is required.

For renting a 200cc scooter, a valid Driver’s License type A2 or higher is required.

For renting a motorbike XT 660cc, a valid Driver’s License type A is required.

3Do I need an International Driving License?
If you come from a European Union country your local full Driving License is enough to drive a vehicle in Greece. Your local full Driving License is also valid for countries which are listed as contracting parties in the Convention on Road Traffic, Vienna 1968. In case you come from any other country (also including USA, Australia, Canada) you need, without exception, an International Driving License. If you are not sure whether your country is included, please contact us at info@autowayzante.com prior to making your booking.
4What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period for any vehicle is three (3) days.
5Are there mileage limits?
Our rental rates offer free unlimited mileage in Zakynthos island.
6What about the fuel consumption?
Fuel consumption is payable by you. You are obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected.
7Is it possible to take the vehicle out of Zakynthos island?

It is possible to take your car off the island of Zakynthos but only with a written approval from Autoway. There is an extra charge of 45 euro (for out of Zakynthos road assistance). In any case, when driving out of Zakynthos island without a written approval, the insurance is automatically cancelled.

Motorbikes are not allowed to be taken outside Zakynthos.

8Can i have a Zakynthos island map?
Of course, and it will be free of charge. Our friendly, professional staff will give you all the information you will need about driving in Zakynthos, as well as provide you with a helpful and detailed road map and directions to places of interest to ensure you have a unique holiday experience.

Safety and insurance

1Are Autoway vehicles safe?
Autoway is legally certified by the Greek Chamber of Commerce and the Greek National Tourism Organization, with license number: 08-25-E-81-00245-0. All our vehicles are highly maintained, so our customers can enjoy the safest and best quality cars, motorbikes, scooters and bikes. Our fleet is tested and certified yearly by the Greek Ministry of Transportation and the Greek National Tourism Organization. Your absolute safety is our number one priority.
2Is insurance included in the car rental price?

Online bookings are privileged and all car rates include the best insurance package, without any extra cost:

F.D.W. (Full Damage Waiver). Full insurance with no Excess at all.

C.D.W (Collision Damage Waiver). It limits your responsibility for any damage to Autoway car bodywork.

S.C.D.W. (Super Collision Damage Waiver). It covers your car for damages to tires, undercarriage, glass and mirror.

P.A.I. (Personal Accident Insurance) for the driver and passengers and T.P. (Theft Protection) for the vehicle.

Also, all Autoway vehicles are automatically covered for Legal Liability, Third Party and Public Liability, as required by law.

3What is the insurance policy for scooters / motorbikes?
Online bookings are privileged and provide our customers with several insurance policies, to minimize their risk as much as possible. All scooters and motorbikes are covered for Legal Liability, Third Party and Public Liability, as required by law. In addition to that basic policy, we provide the optional Collision Damage Waiver insurance and Theft Insurance for our scooters and motorbikes with an Excess that varies with the model. Also, since helmets are mandatory in Greece, we provide them to you free of charge (please note that you are responsible for any fines for not wearing the helmets).
4Are there any mandatory insurance policies that are not included?
No there are not. All mandatory insurances are included in our rates. There are some optional policies, which are clearly presented as optional extras during the online booking process.

During your rental

1Can I extend my booking period?

2What if I break down or if I have an accident?

3What do I need to do in the event of loss of key?
In the event of loss of vehicle key, you will need to call Autoway at +30 6944612066 or +30 6980097510 (Whats App). Additional service charges will apply, as the loss of keys is not covered by our insurances.
